On September 22, 2021, when Gabor – a father to a 3-year-old – had barely any kidney function left, Zoltan donated a kidney to him, in one of 85 live kidney donations in Aotearoa last year. More than a year on, the brothers now advocate for live organ donation, and want to raise awareness that those who choose to donate can both save a life, and live a full life of their own.
