Dialysis South Invercargill has recently opened a satellite dialysis unit.

This is available for all Fresenius home trained HD dialysis patients who are wanting to visit Southland. The room is self - care for those who are fully home trained and independent with their HD care. Any patients visiting must be familiar and able to use Fresenius equipment. If the patient is currently on a Gambro machine, they would not be able to use this unit independently. Anyone who would like to be considered for holiday dialysis in the Invercargill unit will need to get their renal unit to contact the Dunedin Dialysis Unit. This is important to do a few months before you are needing to book in so that they can determine your suitability for independent, away-from-home HD and book in with plenty of notice.

Please contact the SDHB Dialysis Service on 03 470 9345 or the dialysis service email DialysisService@southerndhb.govt.nz for more details. Please note, access to the Invercargill dialysis room is only for use during normal business hours between Monday and Friday, subject to availability.
